Overview

Disability Sport and Recreation (DSR) provides and promotes positive health outcomes for Victorians with disability through participation in sport and recreation. DSR exist to ensure Victorians with disability have equal opportunities to take part in the sport and recreation activities they’d like to participate in. DSR work in partnership and consult with Victorians with disability, carers, volunteers, sport and recreation sector representatives, disability service organisations, schools, researchers, health professionals, government, philanthropic organisations and community groups to fulfill their mission. Supported by Protect,ETU &the Victorian Government DSR provides opportunities for people to participate in wheelchair rugby in either an introduction and development program or to compete in the league.  Also known as murderball, wheelchair rugby is the toughest sport on wheels. Whether you're just getting started or your a seasoned veteran of wheelchair sports, wheelchair rugby gives you the opportunity to get active, get rough and get physical. Wheelchair Rugby is an intense, high impact, fast paced game as players attempt to get the ball across the opposition’s goal line. Monthly come& try sessions are held at the Echuca Basketball Stadium. Everyone is welcome to try whether you have a disability or not. Contact Jason Lees for more information and to register to get involved.
